Schedule For Ibom Entertainment Week.
Ibom Entertainment Week is the first of it's kind in Akwa Ibom. According to the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Entertainment Industry, Mr David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom) held a press conference on Monday, September 13, 2021 ahead of the Ibom Entertainment Week.
Present at the Press Briefing was the chairman of the planning committee & Special Assistant to Governor on Project Monitoring, Mr Godfada Uko, together with members of the Akwa Ibom State Entertainment Industry Working Committee.
'The Ibom Entertainment Week festival is initiated to create a platform for talents in various sectors of the industry to be highlighted and celebrated', the press release partly reads.
The governor's aide made it known that the festival is the first of its kind in the history of the state and commences on Wednesday, September 15 to Sunday 19. He said the Special & Senior Special Assistants to Governors on Entertainment/Tourism from Abia, Cross River, Imo, Enugu and Delta States are expected to be in attendance, as well as veteran comedian Alibaba, pop stars Iyanya and Skales will also join our indigenous artistes for live musical performances.
According to Utang Akwa Ibom, "our message is simple, Akwa Ibom State is blessed with talents, we want the world to know that we have a vibrant entertainment industry and a supportive governor".
